Our first ConverSEAtion addressed the many changes affecting adolescent behavior. The middle-school years are known to evoke fear in parents, educators and kids. Our discussion was lead by Libby and Stephen Michaud. It focused on coping with physical and emotional changes, promoting social and intellectual development, and building communication skills at home and at school.
The sessions in January and March will explore concrete strategies for coping during the middle school years:

Our first ConverSEAtion addressed the many changes affecting adolescent behavior. The middle-school years are known to evoke fear in parents, educators and kids. Our discussion was lead by Libby and Stephen Michaud. It focused on coping with physical and emotional changes, promoting social and intellectual development, and building communication skills at home and at school.
Steve and Libby Michaud are Scituate parents with five children. Stephen Michaud is a doctoral candidate in education with degrees in psychology and counseling. He is an accomplished lecturer on a variety of educational topics. Libby Michaud is an educational consultant and former teacher with advanced degrees in sociology and education. She is an expert on effective parent-child communication and achievement in school.
